Recently, we flew from Bangkok to NY, arriving at JFK International airport. The flight itself is grueling - mid night departure out of BKK, then 6.5 hours to Dubai. After a 2 hour layover (that airport is misery), we were already exhausted, not having slept on the flight.
Then, we were forced to endure a 14 hour flight time to JFK. The worst part of all this? We were stuck in JFK immigration for ANOTHER 3 hours! WTF. This is NOT the way for people to experience their first day in America. Complaining did nothing at all, apparently most of the immigration officers are on the Mexican border. Read this article.
